Finger Lakes Tatting Convention

Well the convention is coming quickly so today I started getting things ready!!
I cut out a Horse and a Snowman to sew for the raffle. I also cut out another Horse and a Giraffe!
I hope to get some of the sewing done tonight!

I have also been working on Ideas to teach in Canada in September!   I was so happy I was asked to teach this year I do love to come up with new ideas to teach!!!

Also Mom is doing so much better and we are hoping she gets her other hip done soon. She is doing more now then she was doing last July!  And she had her left hip done on Feb 5 I think it is amazing how she has improved so quickly and she still has one bad hip so she still uses a walker most of the time.

What i have been up to

Sorry i haven't been keeping up my blog i will try harder now that my life is getting back to normal. Since September i have been taking care of my Mom she needed both hips replaced she went in to the hospital to get it done and she carted and ended up with 5 blood clots in her lungs so after a week in the hospital she came home for us to take care of her, Dad stopped working to be with her during the day, I still was working full time and taking care of her and doing all the house work after work and on my days of i scheduled all of her appointments. it wasn't fun most days but she has done so much for me i would never tell either of them i couldn't do it. By December she was wheelchair bound she could transfer with the help of two, we (Dad and I) would get her up and i would have some one come over and help during the day when i was working.We finally got her hip done on February 5 she is doing very well and home, She spent 2 weeks in a nursing home (rehab)where i work, It was great to see her improve and get stronger. Now we are waiting for the doctor to do the other hip. But she is doing so much more now then she has done.

I found light bulb shaped plastic form with a flat bottom. This is what i have done so far, but i have on order Metal photo pokes to add.  What do you think?

What i have been up to

Sorry i haven't posted much i do try to check all my friends blogs but I have been very busy.

My mom is waiting for her hip to be replaced and we are finally getting there it will be done on feb 5.
this week we have a appointment for her to have a filter put in so she wont get blood clots again!
She has been in a wheel chair for the last month she can only pivot with help so getting her hip done will be great then we will look in to the next hip but i think it will go better.

I have been tatting some but i just don't have as much time as i used to.

On a good note Barb from handy hands contacted me and i am sending her 50 of each book in the mail today!

Dad and i worked on them the last two day to get them in the mail before the price goes up on monday.

I spent alot of time today reorganizing my tatting corner

the second one is before i put the chair and table in place!

I still have more thread and beads upstairs but that is most of it!

All i tatting books are kept upstairs in my bedroom on a bookcase.

Craft Shows

OK I am thinking of doing one craft show this year I don't usually do any.  But I think it would be good to get tatting out to the public.  My question is how many of you do craft shows and what sells the best the show I am doing is in December so I have lots of time. I am thinking snowflakes and some ornaments.  But should I have more items or what?
