Egg

Well i got the egg finished!!! It took a few days. Here is a picture of it.

New project

Well due to a good friend i havent tatted in a few day now. She send me a new project to do! A beaded egg that has a bunny and flowers, it is all beads and thread so far i have it a third of the way done and i think it looks right so far. I wil try to get some pictures of it later but i dont think i will work on the wedding doily until this is done.

Merry Christmas to all. I finally got my Christmas tatting done yesterday afternoon. So now back to the wedding doily and the fair doily. And the ornament book I need to get that diagrammed so it will take lots of time to get it done.

Snowsetta

I have had a go at the Snowsetta and i have changed how to do it some. You can do the main color then do the second color as a second row so you dont have to use 4 shuttles that get tangled up all the time, you can pass a clover shuttle through the spaces you made with the main color. it is much easier. and i didnt do the aligator join either. I just put one thread on each side of the main color work and did the next chain i think it looks the same. I have Emailed Jane and she has given me permission to post how i did it.

Here is the latest scan of the fair doily for next year. I still have lots more to go on it but it is growing slowly. I have also ordered thread for the Doily i have to do by next July for my youngest daughters wedding it will be pink and black the colors of her wedding. That should be fun to do I hope to get both done in time and also get my Christmas tatting done. I was hooping to get my Ornament book out by Christmas but i don't think that will happen this year. But by next year i will have more designs to put in it so it will get better.

I just want to warn everyone i know to please be carfeful and keep track of your bank account! I check mine about twice a week and on friday morning i found that some one hacked into it and emptied my accout using my ebay and paypal they also hacked in to. They also hacked in to my mail email i am sure that is how they got to my ebay and paypal so now i use a different email and i haveny figured out how to recover that email and not sure if i want to. So just be cafeful and watch things.

Big Doily For NY State Fair 2010

Here is the start of the doily for the fair, I have done this doily before and this time i am doing it in colors. So far i do like how it looks. The top one is the one i did i entered it in the fair in 2006, and got a second place, i amhoping for a first next year with this one.

My grandson turned 1

Here are a few pictures of my grandson, He just truned one today. Yesterday we went to the zoo and had a great day.

Canada

I had a great time, the first class i took was Kareys angel class, well the angel is half done still. then i took Kaye Judt calss on Paisleys that was a fun challenge i go tone done in class. then on saturday i took Rita Cochrane it was a great bracelet patter you can do in one pass, Mine is still in the works to get finished. Then the last calss was Kaye Judt class A critter from the wild, mine only need it tail now and hope i can get that done soon he is so cute. i willpaost pictures as i finish things. And i won lots of raffles and a few live auctions also it was lots of fun to see friends and chat again, i hope to go again next year.

Well i am home from my trip and i had a great time it was so much fun. And there was so many great people there to tat and chat with in each wonderful class.

My Doily

I am working on a Christmas Book

I am working with Toni Storer she is helping me put together a tatting book with all my ornaments in it i think so far i have nine but i am working on more this week. I have been out of work due to hip pain and they just gave me five more days to sit home so i will get lots of tatting done i hope. Here are some pictures of what i have finished right now some i have to work on more to make me happy ( like the red with the stars on it)

NY Fair Results

Well i got the results for the Fair today!!! The sunflower doily got a Second, My blue and silver ornament got a third, my own design of the Christmas ornament got a second, The tatted necklace using Nina Libin pattern got a forth place and my flat snowflake got a Honorable mention. My mom also got a second and a Honorable mention for her knitting!
