Well the judges are complete and utter plonkers. The doily should've got the highest award in the whole show. You can tell them that Jane's given them the sack and that they're no longer to judge tatting or anything else ever again. There. That's told them.
I agree with the others on the comments that the doily is awesome and should have gotten a first place!!! :) My husband wanted me to tell you that it's really beautiful and he would be proud to own it! :D Congrats on the projects they did award well! :)
I'm in total shock! Even DH couldn't believe it! Was the doily competing with other tatted doilies? What could possibly have surpassed this???!! I wish we could demand an explanation!!!!
Congrats on your other ribbons!
Please know that all of us here in Tat Land are in awe of your masterpiece!
What a bummer Ginny, don't fret, your doily is beautiful. Obviously the judges doing the judging did not know how to score your doily. That was quite obvious by the ribbon. Congrats! on your other ribbons for a job well done.
I can't imagine what those judges were thinking (or not thinking). Keep in mind that we all are tatters and know what we're talking about . I'm with Jane.
Well, the snowflake and the spider are wonderful, and congratulations on those placings.....but I read this with total disbelief - in company with everyone else. Do you think they would have liked it more if you had tatted it all in white? Talk about casting pearls before swine......
That's just CRAZY!!!! How could THAT piece of work not get a blue ribbon!??!!? I mean really, I'm with Jane... New judges! I love the other things too, especially that snowflake!
I was going to say well, and then I saw Jane's comment, I expect you are disappointed with the Doily it looked so lovely, but you did win on the others so well done on them. I love the snowflake. Margaret

I know that had to be disappointing. It's a beautiful doily!

Go, Jane!
Fox : ))
WHAT?!?!? Your astounding doily didn't knock their socks off? Are they clinically blind?
Big congratulations on your other entries - they showed quite well and you should be proud! (Jane has got it right - utter plonkers.)
