Wow - what a lot of nice lacework! Thanks for sharing. Your doily is beautiful, and right in there with the rest of the ribbon-worthy :)

Well I don't think that they displayed your Big Doily very well, did they? - just draped over a vase like that.
But wasn't there a lot of lovely tatting! - such a pity it all has to compete against the knitting and crocheting though.
It looked to me as though there was enough tatting to warrant having it's own section - maybe the tatters should request that for next year.

It deserved more than an honourable mention Ginny. Your tatting mates know what it is worth!

Agree with Maureen - pity tatting has to compete against knitting and crochet.

Great effort anyway. Love it!!

I have never heard of even the smallest Fair not having separate competitions, at least for knitting and crocheting! To lump all 'lace' together is ridiculous! Is there at least a separate category for bobbin lace?

I'm glad others noticed how poorly your doily was displayed. Actualy, I was shocked! I am quite annoyed about this, not to mention that the snowflake can't be seen too well, either, on the light background. I wasn't impressed with the way they displayed the other winning items, either.

Again, please be assured that your doily is a beautiful work of art and is praised highly by all of us in Tat Land!!!!
